As one of the key backbone enterprises in Hubei Province’s intelligent equipment industry, Yixing Intelligent has developed a comprehensive portfolio of mid- to high-end CNC lathes—including dual‑spindle in‑line CNC turning‑milling centers, turret‑type turning‑milling machines, and CNC turret‑type turning‑milling centers—along with CNC machining centers such as vertical machining centers, vertical–horizontal hybrid machining centers, and high‑speed drilling‑tapping centers, as well as peripheral machine tools like automatic bar feeders. The overall technological level of these product lines surpasses that of domestic peers, and the company has been recognized as a key high‑tech enterprise; its technology center was upgraded to a provincial-level technical center in 2015. In recent years, riding the wave of smart manufacturing, the company has relentlessly pursued cutting-edge technologies, precision engineering, and premium‑quality products. To date, it has been granted five invention patents, eight design patents, and more than 40 utility model patents in the fields of CNC lathes, machining centers, and bar feeders, with an additional seven invention patent applications currently under review. Furthermore, its “high‑speed, precision, horizontal, dual‑moving‑spindle five‑axis CNC composite machining center,” which has been developed and brought to market, passed Hubei Province’s scientific and technological achievement appraisal in 2013, demonstrating an overall technical level that is internationally advanced among comparable products. In 2014, it received both the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Hubei Province and the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Suizhou City, and is now capable of replacing equivalent imported counterparts. Additionally, the key functional component “high‑speed mechanical spindle for vertical machining centers,” developed by the company, passed Hubei Province’s scientific and technological achievement appraisal in October 2015 and is now in mass production.

Developing intelligent CNC machine tools
In light of the trend toward intelligent CNC machine tools and the fact that both machine tool manufacturing and metalworking are characterized by discrete production, we are actively advancing research on CNC machine‑tool intelligence and the development of digital workshops. This will elevate the level of intelligence in our machine‑tool products and enhance the digital management of our production processes, thereby strengthening our competitiveness in a rapidly evolving market. Over time, we aim to transform Yixing into a high‑tech enterprise distinguished by “digitalized production processes and intelligent machine‑tool products.”

In response to the national strategy of “Made in China 2025” and leveraging the opportunity presented by the country’s drive to develop the high-end equipment manufacturing sector, we will capitalize on Hubei Province’s strong automotive production and advanced machinery‑manufacturing capabilities. Our future priorities will focus on high‑end CNC machine tools—such as CNC lathes and machining centers—machine tool functional components like spindles, and peripheral auxiliary equipment including feeders, with the aim of achieving breakthroughs in the development of intelligent equipment and digital factories.
