What is Vertical machining center ？
A machining center is a highly automated, multi‑function CNC machine tool equipped with a tool magazine and an automatic tool changer. After the workpiece is clamped once on the machining center, the CNC system issues commands to sequentially perform multiple operations on several surfaces of the workpiece, thereby significantly enhancing production efficiency.
A vertical machining center is a type of machining center in which the spindle axis is perpendicular to the worktable. It is particularly well suited for machining complex parts such as plates, discs, molds, and small housings. It can perform operations including milling, boring, drilling, tapping, and thread cutting. Yixing’s intelligent machining centers support three-axis simultaneous motion and have a maximum payload capacity of 400 kg.
The Yixing Intelligent vertical machining center features a C‑shaped structure, offering convenient workpiece clamping and positioning, while its linear guideways ensure highly responsive motion. Toolpaths are easy to observe, and program debugging and measurement are straightforward, enabling prompt identification of issues for immediate shutdown or correction. Cooling conditions are readily established, with cutting fluid delivered directly to the tool and the machined surface. The piping is concealed in a recessed design, preventing metal chips and coolant from corroding the lines and causing malfunctions. Compared with horizontal machining centers, vertical machining centers boast a simpler structure, a smaller footprint, and a more competitive price.
